Overview

This course will provide attendees with a deep understanding of the nature of the Private Equity and Venture Capital industries, the principal participants in these markets, the methods and financial strategies they deploy.

Students who in the future plan to raise Venture Capital or get involved in a Private Equity transaction should make use of this course. As the entrepreneurs' perspective on fundraising is specifically covered in other courses, the objective is here to give participants a thorough grounding in (i) the investors of this asset class, their private equity programs construction and fund selection process, (ii) funds structures and operation as well as (iii) the investment, value creation and exit achievements implemented by fund managers.

The goal is also to raise awareness and interest among participants for a challenging but rewarding industry that could offer opportunities for entrepreneurs, buy-in managers, investment managers, lawyers, acquisition financers, mezzanine financing providers, asset managers, placement agents, consultants, and more.
