Le programme

The undergraduate courses in theology offered by the Department of Theological Studies explore religious experience and its manifestations in human history. The primary focus of the Department's courses is the academic study of the Christian tradition and its relationship to other religious traditions. Beginning with the study of sacred scripture, these courses reflect on the teaching and practice of the Church-God, Christ, revelation, faith, sin, grace, salvation, the moral life, worship, and sacraments- examining these in the context of their historical development. In advancing the Jesuit and Catholic tradition of Saint Louis University, the Department of Theological Studies approaches Christian truth with a special emphasis on its relation to human culture and the requirements of social justice.
