Overview

This is a course in international finance with particular emphasis on financial crises. This is not a theoretical course (though we review theory) but a course that attempts to build a practical guide to macroeconomic analysis and financial consulting in countries under stress. While the course reviews crises in emerging economies, in recent years building the tools that enable to understand both the US financial crisis and the Euro crisis have captured an important share of the course’s attention.
