Objectifs: Many Pre-medicine graduates have attended major medical, dental, optometry, veterinary, and graduate schools. Some graduates do professional research for various agencies and corporations. Institutional research, often affiliated with private or public universities and philanthropic foundations, offers a variety of research and development opportunities. Admission requirements are based on a combination of secondary school grades, college admission test scores, co-curricular activities and attempted college course work, as well as other indicators of the applicant’s ability and character. Spanish and international students normally enroll in our intensive English as a Second Language (ESL) program during their first year of study.

Le programme
The pre-medicine program is aimed at gaining a better understanding of the processes of living organisms. Pre-medicine classes in biology search for answers to current problems and ways to avoid future dilemmas. Specialized fields of biology, such as botany, zoology, and molecular biology have made key contributions to the health and welfare of the world's population.
The Pre-med academic curriculum is completely integrated with that of the home campus in St. Louis campus in Missouri. The students can transfer freely between the two campuses over the course of their undergraduate degree program. A student who enrolls in a bachelor's Premedicine program in Madrid, will normally spend the first two years in Madrid and then transfer directly to the St. Louis campus in Missouri to finish the final two years of the degree program. However, students can transfer the academic credits they earn while studying in Madrid to other U.S. universities should they so wish.
Courses are offered in English at Saint Louis Madrid campus. Spanish and international students can enroll in our intensive English as a Second Language (ESL) program during their first year of study.
Special attributes of this program
Saint Louis University in Madrid offers state of the art laboratories through which students have the opportunity to study biology beyond the limits of the classroom. Upon their transfer to the the St. Louis campus the students interact with the Missouri Botanical Garden, the St. Louis Zoological park, the Saint Louis University School of Medicine, the Pediatric Research Institute, and Cardinal Glennon Hospital.
Students are encouraged to round out their education by participating in co-curricular activities. Groups such as Beta Beta Beta, the biology honorary society, and the Pre-Medicine Club are social and academic organizations that further students' interest in biology while exposing them to its relationship with other scientific disciplines.
