Objectifs: Comprendre et maîtriser l'anglais financier, juridique et les règles de fonctionnement des affaires anglo-saxonnes. Savoir comprendre un contenu de reporting et de tableaux financiers en anglais et dans les normes comptables US GAAP, UK GAAP et IAS/IFRS. Pouvoir communiquer devant un auditoire anglo-saxon. Pouvoir travailler dans un cabinet d'audit international. Destinataires: Directeurs financiers, contrôleurs de gestion, auditeurs, chef comptable, commissaires aux comptes, experts comptables…, Personnel de filiales de groupes Internationaux, dirigeants en partenariat avec des entreprises américaines et européennes en activité ou demandeurs d'emploi.

Session 2- Review the vocabulary of day 1. Intensive revision of financial vocabulary part 2. Discuss the differences between American and British terms. Organise a written test on vocabulary. Assign homework.
Session 3- Review the vocabulary of day 2. Key elements of the Annual Report, Highlights, letter from the President or CEO, Auditors Report, Management discussion and Analysis, Financial Statement (balance sheet, the income statement, the statement of cash flow), Notes to the Financial Statements, Other Information, Assign homework.
Session 4- Review the vocabulary of day 3.Chart of Accounts, Asset Accounts (Tangible Assets, Intangible Assets), Liability Accounts (Current liabilities, long term liabilities) Equity accounts, Revenue Accounts , Expense Accounts, Assign homework.
Session 5- Review the vocabulary of day 4.Reading a Balance Sheet 1, Three different styles, Account Format, Report Format, Financial position format.-Current assets-, cash, accounts receivable, marketable securities, inventories ( FIFO, LIFO, Average Costing, Specific Costing, LCM), -Long term assets- Land and buildings, capitalized leases, leasehold improvements, machinery and equipment, furniture and fixtures ,intangible asset, other assets, accumulated depreciation. Assign homework.
Session 6- Review the vocabulary of day 5.Reading a Balance Sheet 2, - Liabilities- Current Liabilities, short -term borrowings, Current portion of long-term borrowings, Accounts payable, accrued liabilities, Long-term liabilities -Equity- Stock common shareholders, preferred shareholders. Income Statements, Two formats, single step or multiple step, revenues, cost of goods sold, gross profit, expenses EBITDA Assign homework.
