The EMFOL MSc in Animal-Derived Foods met my expectations of a world-class academic programme. My professors are basically the authors of some of the books and journal articles that I have based my previous and current research on. Further, they are very approachable and motivating, especially in pursuing deeper knowledge and experience in food science. Lastly the international student department is highly efficient and reliable. You are assured that you are well taken care of.

Throughout my studies I was most drawn to the mathematical and the programming courses and therefore I was certain that this was the right programme for me. I was also drawn to the excellent reputation of the schools I am now studying within, TU Delft and KTH, as well as the international mix of students they both have. I have now finished my first year at TU Delft and will continue my second year at KTH. After a hard working and demanding year at the Applied Mathematical department at TU Delft I have gained a tremendous knowledge in both theoretical and applied mathematics. I have also had the opportunity to get to know students from a broad range of countries like, Canada, Columbia and Indonesia not to mention all the fantastic Dutch students and teachers of the school. Delft is a lovely town which I fell in love with and will for sure visit again in the coming years. Now my journey continues to Stockholm where I will start by taking an intensive course in Swedish to be able to adapt quicker to the culture before starting the second year of the COSSE program which I am really looking forward too .I truly believe that the COSSE programme is the right choice for me to enhance my knowledge and experience so that I will be qualified to participate and contribute to the science and engineering field in a meaningful manner.

Throughout my studies I was most drawn to the mathematical and the programming courses and therefore I was certain that this was the right programme for me. I was also drawn to the excellent reputation of the schools I am now studying within, TU Delft and KTH, as well as the international mix of students they both have. I have now finished my first year at TU Delft and will continue my second year at KTH. I was on the York-CEU mobility track. York provided a strong theoretical focus on public administration and public policy, while CEU’s array of classes and rigorous attention to practical application of policy skills vastly increased my ambition for future employment. Further, the diverse student body allowed me to become familiar with systems and institutions across the world in a manner in which I never thought possible. These scholastic attributes combined with the opportunity to live in two magnificent – if diametrically different – European cities, proved to be a unique and awesome experience that I would recommend to anyone. Currently, I am working at the Center for Media and Communication Studies, where I am continuing work that I began during my studies at CEU, and have initiated a new project on Internet Freedom of Expression in coordination with an international NGO.

J’ai eu connaissance de ce master par un de mes enseignants au Japon. Je ne connaissais pas le programme Erasmus Mundus, et je cherchais avant tout un master qui corresponde aux études en hydraulique que je souhaitais faire. Il se trouve que la bourse proposée par ce programme était très attractive et me permettait de suivre les cours dans les différents pays participant au master. C’est vrai qu’au Japon, peu d’étudiants cherchent à partir en Europe, les Etats Unis sont plus prisés. Mais la perspective d’étudier dans différents établissements européens m’intéressait vraiment.
Je n’ai pas eu à choisir entre ce programme et un autre, celui-ci me convenait parfaitement. Les procédures ont été extrêmement simples : un formulaire à remplir et ensuite l’attente de la réponse confirmant ma sélection.
J’ai le sentiment d’avoir intégré un programme d’excellence. Le programme est homogène d’un pays à l’autre. Ce qui est parfois un peu difficile, c’est de s’adapter aux différences culturelles de chaque pays. Les façons d’enseigner ne sont pas forcément les mêmes, les relations entre enseignants et étudiants non plus. Mais c’est l’intérêt de ce programme.

Merci à eux grâce à qui j’ai pu vivre la meilleure expérience de ma vie !!!Incroyable, toujours si attentif aux détails, je n’avais pas fini de raconter un problème qu’ils étaient déjà en train de le résoudre. J'espère pouvoir continuer à avoir plus d'expériences de ce genre et de continuer à améliorer mon anglais avec des professionnels. Je repartirai sans peur à ma prochaine destination!

I received a full scholarship to participate in a 2 year, Erasmus Mundus Master of Science in Flood Risk Management. During the course I studied in four universities across Europe specialising in several different areas of flooding such as hydro-science and engineering, hydroinformatics, coastal engineering, spatial planning and the socio-economic risks involved with flood disasters.

I've been awarded the SNF grant by the Swiss National Science Foundation to pursue his Doctoral Studies at ETH Zurich, often rated as the best technological university in continental Europe (with 21 Nobel Prize winners in it’s alumni, Albert Einstein being the most prominent of them).
Swayamjyoti has worked with several respectable researchers who are employed with ETH Zurich, Paul Scherrer Institut, Stanford University and University of Stuttgart during his Doctoral and Master’s research. His research interests are Atomistic and Ab-Initio Simulation and Modeling of Materials.
Swayamjyoti has also represented his Master program at the EMA General Assemblies in Budapest (2011) and Prague (2012) as a programme representative. He has been instrumental in organising the venue for the 2013 EMA General Assembly in Barcelona by coordinating with UPC Barcelona.

I wanted to develop my interests in the research field, and that is something one can only do when studying abroad with a scholarship. I could visit some cities of Italy and see a lot of beautiful places. I was also able to visit other countries of the European Union, like England, France, Spain and Belgium. These trips really opened my mind and made me think a lot.
