Why Study this programme?The aim of our Master's programme is to advance practice and develop leadership skills in practitioners and managers. Whether you have a responsibility for the health and social care of children, patients and service users, or their carers and families, our degree will develop your practice based expertise, compassion and resilience.
Our lecturers will prepare you with theory and research in the development of clinical and direct care. You will evaluate and integrate knowledge in order to influence and inform systematic processes. This will be within the area of both care and care management. You will also learn to formulate and apply knowledge of governance, policy, regulation, legal and ethics.
We will provide you with opportunities for networking and developing an advanced practice community. Here you will learn to inspire yourself and others to become ingenious in critical situations.
Who is this programme for?This programme has been designed for practitioners who hold registration with a professional body, who have experience in working as a member of a multidisciplinary team and who have been identified as having the capability and potential to provide leadership in their designated area of practice.
The programme will develop the resilience, confidence, skill and expertise of registered nurses, midwives and allied health professionals to advance professional practice in order to improve outcomes for patients/service users and their families and carers.
SpecialismsOur programme provides opportunities for you to develop your skills and knowledge that will enable you to provide leadership, mentorship/supervision and expertise within the context of your field of practice. The programme offers different pathways to enable you to develop advanced practice skills and knowledge within a specialist field.

Quels sont les objectifs de la formation?:

Applicants must have the required experience and qualifications according to the nature of their scope and context of their practice, role and profession.
You are expected to have successfully completed a Level 6 programme of study and have the required experience within a specified scope of practice:

A first degree (normally 2:2 or above) or equivalent study
Current registration with the NMC or HCPC or other relevant PSRB
Evidence of substantial experience of working in the health and social care sector currently fulfilling a senior specialist role, typically with five years of experience in professional practice or longer
Currently working within an appropriate role with relevant experience
Working at least 20 hours in practice per week
Applicants who do not have English as their first language must demonstrate an IELTS score of at least 7 (non-EU students only).
